Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the Panhandle of Florida, south Georgia and anyone that has been affected by the worst hurricane in past 100 years. What devastation!
We are blessed to be busy this time of year. Normally things settle down a lot after Labor Day but we are enjoying a great Fall! Looks like the weather will be turning fallish by this weekend. Its a wonderful time to be enjoying the lake.
Save the date and come see us!
We will be hosting a customer appreciation day TOMORROW, Friday October 12th, at our office from 3PM-6PM Central Time. We just want to thank our customers and community for all the support we get year round! We will be serving food and beverages and also giving away free pumpkins for the Halloween season! Although the pumpkins are free, we will be accepting donations to any of our local charities, which are always appreciated. Everyone is invited so please come by.
Lake levels are dropping!
Alabama Power started dropping the lake this month. The water level is down approx 1.5 feet as of today (Thursday 10/11/2018). It will continue to drop another 2.5 feet over the the rest of the month so we should be approximately 4 feet down at the beginning of November. It will drop 4 more feet in November to our normal winter level of 785. I’ll keep everyone updated in our newsletter. You can also visit Alabama Power’s web page devoted to Lake Wedowee (aka Harris Lake) to keep current on water levels.
